Run Away it's one of those Pyramid Schemes

Network Marketing / Multi-level Marketing / Pyramid Schemes 

First off let us just differentiate between these 3, they are not all the same thing.

Network Marketing and Multi-level Marketing are the same business model.
  
Network Marketing & Multi-level marketing Explained.

• There is a company
• There are products
• There are independent distributors (just like shops)
• The distributors buy the products from the primary company (just like a shop)
• The distributors sell the product for a profit which they keep (just like a shop)
• The distributors recruit other people to join their network whom have the same opportunities as they do
• The company pays the distributors commission for the products sold by their network

Now that all sounds ok so far, but here is the differentiating issue.  The distributors only get paid commission on people with in their network down to say 2 or 3 levels below their level and only on actual product sales, effectively managing the amount of money leaving the company pot.

You see the issue is not whether it is a pyramid or not, it is whether it is sustainable as a business.  If the commissions paid to the distributors are set at a level that makes it worthwhile for the distributors to stay in business and there is enough money left over to run the company effectively, there really is no problem. 

What is the real issue with Pyramid Schemes? 

The main issue with regards to Pyramid Schemes is that people lose their money.
This happens because the scheme is not set up as a sustainable business, with a watertight business plan or with a view of growing a substantial business in to the future. 

Its the similarities that cause people to think that Network Marketing / MLM are Pyramid Schemes  

• They are often populated by people wanting to make easy money 
  
• They often promise unrealistic returns for little input of finance, time or effort 
  
• They are cheap to join 
  
• They rely on bringing more people into the group 
  
• They do not require any previous skills or experience
  

You can see the similarities, but the difference is that Network Marketing and Multi-level Marketing are sustainable.

Network Marketeers often learn no additional skills required to build their business and they promote Network Marketing / MLM with such enthusiasm and vigor that they attract the wrong type of person, who will try to build their business in exactly the same way, only to fail and then become a walking convert proclaiming that Network Marketing and MLM are Pyramid Schemes because they lost some money even though it was their own fault and not the fault of the company or business model. 

There have been many true Swindler Pyramid Schemes that were doomed for failure, but the opportunity I am presenting to you today is a solid business model established over 30+ years.

Consider that scientists thought the earth was flat once upon a time, who would have thought it was round?
